Styx in English

The default language

Styx’s default language is English. However as I’m Hungarian probably I made some mistakes when I translated my texts to English. I would be pleased if someone can correct my mistakes. So if you want to help me a bit, don’t hesitate!

I don’t like the expressions!

As I said so, maybe there are some mistakes. But if you want to change something special in Styx, you have to edit the en_US.po file in the Styx directory with an editor called Poedit.

When you’re done with the editing of this file you should save the file so a new en_US.mo file will be created. You have to replace the original en_US.mo file with the new version.

Then edit your wp-config.php like this to specify the language of your Wordpress installation and Styx’s language:

define ('WPLANG', 'en_US');

From now you will have your custom language pack for Styx.

If you have problems I will try to help you out :)

I know another language!

If you have fifteen minutes spare time and you know another language that in Styx is not available yet, please translate it to help Styx reach more publicity. You just have to duplicate the existing en_US.po file and give the name that you want (the country and language code like es_ES.po) and translate this file. Save it and you have just created a new language pack for Styx! Send it to me and I will include in the next version of Styx! Also I will give you a credit link to your site here. All I ask from you is to take a look at the translation a few times before new versions of Styx released.
